Resultante de uma parceria entre a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utad.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Universidade de Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes e Alto Douro<\/a> e a <a href=\"https:\/\/sigarra.up.pt\/up\/pt\/web_base.gera_pagina?p_pagina=home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Universidade do Porto<\/a>, esta licenciatura valoriza a gest\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel de paisagens florestais e agroflorestais, as aplica\u00e7\u00f5es biotecnol\u00f3gicas na Floresta, e a inova\u00e7\u00e3o ao n\u00edvel das tecnologias da madeira.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflexo de uma aten\u00e7\u00e3o particular aos novos desafios da Floresta, o plano de estudos desta nova licenciatura potencia o conhecimento do setor florestal com a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de novas ferramentas na fronteira do desenvolvimento tecnol\u00f3gico, como as \u00f3micas, as biotecnologias, a observa\u00e7\u00e3o remota da Terra ou a intelig\u00eancia artificial. Esta nova licenciatura formar\u00e1 t\u00e9cnicos qualificados para potenciar a Floresta como fonte de rendimento e de valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o social, no quadro dos desafios globais do desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Novos profissionais para uma nova Floresta<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este curso inovador pretende formar licenciados com esp\u00edrito cr\u00edtico, proativos e din\u00e2micos, que sejam agentes de moderniza\u00e7\u00e3o e competitividade do setor florestal, desempenhando fun\u00e7\u00f5es profissionais ou prosseguindo forma\u00e7\u00e3o superior em \u00e1reas relacionadas com a floresta, os recursos naturais e a biotecnologia. Estes licenciados dever\u00e3o ser capazes de implementar atividades aplicadas \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o, transforma\u00e7\u00e3o e comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o de produtos florestais; aplicar solu\u00e7\u00f5es tecnol\u00f3gicas e biotecnol\u00f3gicas \u00e0 gest\u00e3o florestal (na adapta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 mudan\u00e7a clim\u00e1tica, na gest\u00e3o do risco de inc\u00eandio, ou na valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o das externalidades da Floresta); e desenvolver atividades de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e desenvolvimento (bio)tecnol\u00f3gico para a valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos e territ\u00f3rios florestais.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os desafios da sustentabilidade da Floresta motivam uma procura crescente de profissionais qualificados, por parte de autarquias e outros organismos da administra\u00e7\u00e3o p\u00fablica, centros de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e inova\u00e7\u00e3o, e empresas. Um licenciado em Engenharia e Biotecnologia Florestal pode desempenhar uma grande diversidade de fun\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9cnicas, de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e de consultoria, em entidades p\u00fablicas ou privadas. As unidades de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e os institutos de interface das duas Universidades assumem um papel central na aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o ao mercado de trabalho e no est\u00edmulo \u00e0 inova\u00e7\u00e3o e ao empreendedorismo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Um perfil formativo inovador<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta nova licenciatura \u00e9 oferecida por duas Universidades situadas em duas cidades e em duas realidades territoriais distintas, algo singular ao n\u00edvel do 1\u00ba ciclo (licenciatura) em Portugal. O modelo de funcionamento \u00e9, ele pr\u00f3prio, inovador. O 1\u00ba ano (forma\u00e7\u00e3o nuclear em ci\u00eancias naturais e exatas) decorre na Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias da Universidade do Porto, e o 2\u00ba ano (forma\u00e7\u00e3o em ci\u00eancias florestais e engenharia florestal) decorre na UTAD, em Vila Real. No 3\u00ba ano, os alunos poder\u00e3o optar por aprofundar a forma\u00e7\u00e3o biotecnol\u00f3gica ou em Engenharia Florestal, ou ainda combinar disciplinas para uma forma\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00f3lida em ambas as \u00e1reas. Este modelo justifica a aposta no ensino em B-Learning, em particular no 3\u00ba ano.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outro aspeto inovador \u00e9 a<strong> <\/strong>aposta em desafios atuais e emergentes, e em solu\u00e7\u00f5es inovadoras para esses desafios. O plano de estudos inclui assim disciplinas de economia do ambiente e avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de servi\u00e7os de ecossistema; a\u00e7\u00e3o clim\u00e1tica, gest\u00e3o da biodiversidade e restauro de ecossistemas; aplica\u00e7\u00f5es da observa\u00e7\u00e3o remota da Terra e da intelig\u00eancia artificial; e \u00f3micas e suas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es biotecnol\u00f3gicas. A exposi\u00e7\u00e3o a realidades internacionais fornece a estes profissionais uma capacidade acrescida de inova\u00e7\u00e3o e transforma\u00e7\u00e3o do setor florestal, n\u00e3o s\u00f3 em
